Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviours.
- Assist service users with daily living activities and personal care where required.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Support individuals with community activities and social engagement.
- Respond appropriately to behaviours that challenge using approved support strategies.
- Maintain accurate daily records and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Ensure a safe, supportive and respectful care environment.
Essential Requirements
- Have previous experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviours.
- Have experience working with individuals with complex support needs.
- Hold a valid Mandatory Training Certificate.
- Have appropriate DBS clearance covering both adult and child workforces.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be confident following care plans and supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Be reliable, professional and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- Be able to travel reliably to Hereford (HR4).
