We are seeking an experienced care assistant, to join the staff at Braeburn Home, in central Edinburgh. We are a small, independent home offering quality person-centred care for our residents, with a focus on choice and meaningful relationships.
We offer 39 hours per week, over 3 days out of 7, with shifts lasting 13 hours.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
- Provide holistic, person centred care & support to residents and their families, which focuses on their wishes and preferences to enhance well-being, and encourage independence.
- Support residents to maintain relationships and connections with the local community.
- Ensure care plans are followed & documentation is accurate.
- Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximize opportunities for Residents
- Lead by example & seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Work within the SSSC Code of Practice
- Be professional, polite and respectful at all times
Person specification:
- 1 years’ experience as a care assistant
- Care home experience desirable
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Ability to work well as part of a small team
- Excellent Team working skills and ability to work independently within the team.
- Current registration with SSSC or ability to register
- SVQ2 in health and social care desired
