This 12-month internship is suitable for recent graduates or veterinary surgeons with general practice experience. Interns rotate through Internal Medicine/Cardiology, Surgery, Emergency, and Critical Care, with the option to choose additional elective rotations. The programme provides a strong foundation for further discipline-specific training or for building confidence in clinical case management across a diverse caseload.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Rotating Intern, you will:

  • Actively engage in all rotations, working closely with senior clinicians and specialists.
  • Conduct examinations, support diagnoses, and develop treatment plans under expert supervision.
  • Assist in surgeries, procedures, and emergency cases, gaining hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive, compassionate patient care.
  • Participate in seminars, journal clubs, workshops, and research opportunities to support continuous professional development.

Eligibility Requirements

  • A veterinary degree recognised by the RCVS.
  • RCVS registration (or eligibility to register).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available for overseas applicants).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to learning.
