Trainee Emergency Care Practitioner – University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (Visa Sponsorship).

We are seeking motivated and experienced healthcare professionals to join our team as Trainee Emergency Care Practitioners, within the Urgent and Emergency Care service.

Working alongside Doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and fellow ECP’s/ENP’s you will play a key role in delivering high quality timely care to patient presenting with minor illness and injury. This is a fast paced, independent role, requiring excellent clinical reasoning and descision-making skills.

Main duties of the job

  1. The post holder will be working as a trainee ECP within a busy Minor Injury and Illness Unit and Urgent Treatment Centre under a scope of practice; seeing, treating and independently discharging patients as required.
  2. The post holder will work with Senior EP colleagues to deliver a high quality, effective and sustainable service.
  3. The post holder will undertake a training post and is supported to complete a Minor Injury and Minor Illness University course with a EP portfolio to work  towards to becoming a qualified EP.
  4. The post holder will work in good partnership with multi-disciplinary team. Teaching and education program for the EP is provided annually. This post will be rotational across two sites.

Successful Candidates will be supported to achieve the necessary qualifications to become a Qualified ECP. Once achieved you will be able to apply for Qualified ECP positions should they become available
