Roles & Responsibilities
- To work as a skilled member of the nursing team.
- To provide a high standard of compassionate patient centred care.
- To lead and supervise the work of other qualified and unqualified staff within the team
- To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.
- To be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff, as deemed appropriate by the Ward Sister / Charge Nurse or Clinical Matron
Eligibility Requirements
Qualifications
Essential
- Level 1 Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration / students pending registration
Desirable
- Assessing and mentoring qualification
- Evidence of continuing professional portfolio
- Previous experience working in Gastroenterology/ Endoscopy
Skills / Experience
Essential
- Basic Computer Skills
- A minimum of six months experience in an acute Trust within the last twelve months (this can include student placement)
Desirable
- Venepuncture
- Cannulation
