We are looking for a Senior Residential Care Worker. Senior Care practitioners play a vitally important role in the life of the home. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Senior Care Practitioner to become part of a new home, caring for young people who have sometimes complex emotional difficulties. You will lead and guide the team, using your knowledge and skills to ensure the best outcomes even during emotionally challenging and sometimes difficult situations.

Salary: £35,472 – £36,200 a year

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a registered manager.
- Act as a positive role model to give encouragement and praise.
- Enjoy fun days out such as skating, baking, shopping and revisit missed milestones.
- Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
- Build friendships and trusting relationships
- Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
- Empower them to make decisions about themselves

- Lead, support and guide your team to ensure the home runs smoothly
- Be a role model, lead by example, communicate well, and always put the needs of the children first.
- You’ll be patient, thrive in a team environment, able to support those around you and have the emotional intelligence and resilience to manage challenging situations.
- Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
- You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
