Job Title: Senior Data Base Architect / Developer

Salary: £47,810 – £54,710 per annum + 5% High Cost Allowance

Main duties of the job
- Responsible for a team of SQL developers ensuring all daily targets and timescales are met
- Responsible for Identifying, developing and implementing both own and teams appropriate education, training and development programmes to support the implementation and integration of strategy/programme to sustain long term success.
- To be an authorised signatory to order stock and stationery, travel / mileage, etc.
- Ensure collaborative working and the use of management of change processes to overcome resistance to change and ensure successful outcomes.
- To work as an effective member of the Trust’s Technical Project Team, contributing to the business of the Trust, and assisting to ensure that the team achieves its duties.
- To assist with the development of partnership working and user involvement within services.

Education
Essential criteria
- Qualification in the use of SQL, or relevant proven exceptional experience
- A degree in IT or appropriate relevant experience
Desirable criteria
- AS level or equivalent in computing and information and communication technology
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to deliver advanced solutions through Microsoft Excel
- Excellent understanding of translating business requirements into specialist functional specifications for IT systems
- Knowledge of The Trusts infrastructure
- Advanced IT skills, database/spreadsheet applications, MS Excel/Word and Powerpoint
- Considerable experience in the interrogation, design and maintenance of large databases and systems Extensive experience with EPUT and NHS Patient Systems
- Proven capability in utilising SQL scripts and SSIS packages to update databases on the server
- Experience of developing and maintaining supportive relationships with a range of professionals, suppliers and stakeholders (internal/external)
Desirable criteria
- Familiarity with Data Centre operating standards and specifications
