We are looking to enhance the capabilities, skills and knowledge within the HRA’s data team with the addition of a Senior Data Analyst. As a Senior Data Analyst, working closely with the Head of Data Engineering and other colleagues in the Agile development team, you will use the data analysis process to understand, interpret, and predict patterns in the business, creating and enhancing data products and practices to provide data-driven insights and decision making capabilities. This will involve working with colleagues from across the HRA to identify and document data, analytical and reporting requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Apply advanced tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation (including the use of business information tools)
- Identify, collect and synthesise data requirements to and from a range of systems
- Utilise advanced SQL and visualisation knowledge to manage, clean, abstract and aggregate data alongside a range of analytical studies on that data
- Manipulate and link different data sets utilising advanced Microsoft data tooling suite
- Summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for users
- Support the Head of Data Engineering to promote strong data governance within the directorate and organisation as a whole using appropriate tooling and processes
- Lead the discovery, understanding and documentation of business data and reporting requirements, collaborating with business analysts, product managers and data architects to understand data needs
- Ensure all data structures are analysed, documented, and aligned with business requirements
- Own the main stakeholder relationships related to your discipline
- Analyse, understand, and define a data problem or opportunity
- Identify areas for improvement, explore feasible options and define data driven ways of implementing business solutions
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with industry standards
- Participate in the alignment of data models with business process requirements

- Professional qualification at degree level in a data related discipline or equivalent industry experience and portfolio of evidence demonstrating data warehousing, analysis and data management experience.
