What You’ll Be Doing as a Senior Business Analyst
- Act as a system and product subject matter expert, guiding clients, delivery partners, and internal teams on how Send’s platform can best meet business outcomes.
- Shape and define delivery scope, translating strategic objectives into achievable workstreams that maximise customer value and product alignment.
- Lead and facilitate workshops and discussions to articulate the “why” and “how” behind requirements gathered by Business Analysts.
- Provide clarity and direction to delivery teams, balancing business needs against system capabilities and constraints.
- Support Business Analysts by validating requirements, reviewing user stories, and ensuring alignment to solution scope and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Managers to ensure delivery remains feasible, scalable, and aligned with Send’s product roadmap.
- Influence delivery direction through strong communication and stakeholder engagement, both internally and with customers.
- Participate in demonstrations, playback sessions, and UAT discussions, ensuring delivered functionality supports intended outcomes.
- Act as a guardian of delivery integrity, ensuring solutions stay within scope and aligned with the product’s intended use.
The Skills and Experience Needed for the Senior Business Analyst Role
- Insurance Domain Expertise: Strong background in commercial or specialty insurance, ideally with exposure to underwriting workflows, MGAs, or delegated authority.
- System & Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of SaaS or enterprise platforms, with the ability to articulate system capabilities and constraints at both strategic and detailed levels.
- Delivery Influence: Experience steering delivery direction and priorities without formal line management responsibility.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Confident working with senior client stakeholders, delivery partners, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess business needs and translate them into structured, achievable technical and functional outcomes.
- Communication & Facilitation: Skilled at leading discussions, managing differing viewpoints, and achieving alignment on complex topics.
- Business Outcome Focus: Keeps the customer’s business goals at the centre of delivery decisions, tying functionality to tangible value.
- Collaboration: Works closely with Business Analysts, Delivery Managers, and Product teams to create clarity and momentum in delivery.

Senior Business Analyst Interview Process
Our recruitment process for the Senior Business Analyst role is a minimum of three stages:
Stage 1 – Intro call with our in-house recruiter, Liam (30 minutes) – This will cover your background, motivations and communication, along with a chance to get to know Send and the role better.
Stage 2 – Interview with Stuart Cheasley, Lead Functional Consultant and Jo McGlynn, Portfolio Manager (45 minutes)
Stage 3 – Interview with Tash Bond, Chief Delivery Officer and Niraj Dave, Head of Delivery US (45 minutes)
