We offer both a retail opticians serviceand a specialist ophthalmology service in partnership with the local hospital, providing a varied and interesting working environment. Job Title: Receptionist (Maternity Cover – 12 Months)
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Salary: £24,784.50 per year
Location: Maidstone, UK
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients and providing a professional first point of contact
- Managing phone calls, emails, and general enquiries
- Booking and organising appointments across both services
- Handling patient referrals and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks
- Carrying out basic pre-screening tests (full training provided)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Friendly, professional, and well-presented
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable using computers and email systems
- Able to multitask in a busy environment
- Previous reception or healthcare experience is a plus (not essential)
