Punjabi speaking Care assistant – Onecare World Health Limited (Visa Sponsorship).

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Punjabi speaking Care Assistant to provide domiciliary (home) care services to clients in their own homes. This role involves delivering person-centred care to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life.

Salary: £12.45-£12.85 per hour

Location: Telford, England

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide high-quality personal care and support to clients in their own homes
  • Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate moving and handling techniques
  • Administer medications in accordance with care plans and prescribed protocols
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with eating and drinking as required
  • Perform light domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment
  • Monitor and record clients’ health, wellbeing, and any changes in condition
  • Report concerns or changes to senior staff and healthcare professionals promptly
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and promote wellbeing
  • Follow individual care plans and respect clients’ choices, dignity, and independence

Essential Requirements

  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and commitment to protecting vulnerable adults
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively
  • Physical capability to perform moving and handling tasks safely
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Willingness to travel between clients’ homes within the local area

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience supporting clients with dementia, learning disabilities, or complex needs
  • Moving and handling certification
  • First Aid at Work qualification
  • Medication administration training
  • Experience working with care planning and documentation
