Home Care Support Worker – S&S Home Care Ltd (Part-time)

We are a family run company with an excellent reputation who are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Staff to provide exceptional support to clients in their own homes. The role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, happiness and well-being. Ideal candidates will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. However, we welcome candidates who have no experience but who share our vision as we will mentor and train them to our high standards. This position offers an opportunity to work flexibly while delivering vital care services within the community. We are offering full and part time positions. Each position requires that Staff work every other weekend.

Salary: £24,420.00 – £35,205.38 a year

Location: Bolton Road, Keighley, UK

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Support with medication administration and monitoring health conditions
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Offer companionship and behavioural management for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed
  • Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary
  • Support clients with activities of daily living in a respectful and empathetic manner
  • Manage medication schedules and ensure proper documentation of care provided
  • Assist with heavy lifting or transfers for clients requiring mobility support

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care settings is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and senior care is advantageous
  • Experience in medication administration and first aid certification is preferred
  • Familiarity with behaviour management techniques for clients with cognitive impairments
  • Valid driving licence is beneficial for providing transportation support
  • Experience or caring for individuals with special needs is considered a plus
