Llandovery Community Hospital is a 15 bedded Rehabilitation/Palliative care unit. Providing High stand of care to patients who require support in Rehabilitation from Nursing and Therapy staff.
We are looking for a dependable and dedicated individual with a passion for patient care in a positive and busy environment. The post holder will need to demonstrate that they have good communication skills & a team player.
Hours include nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Salary: £23,970 a year per annum (pro rata if part time)

Roles & Responsibilities
- We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 Health Care Support Workers. You would be working alongside an established team.
- We are a friendly, supportive team delivering high standards of care and clinical excellence.
- You will ensure that patients / clients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions, as directed by the registered nurse.
- You will always communicate effectively and in conjunction with other team members, contributing to and maintaining the ward philosophy.
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Eligibility Requirements
Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- Level 2 in care or ability to undertake a period of induction and on the job training to include theoretical knowledge of care and a range of work related procedures, for example completion of a competency based workbook equivalent to Level 2 vocational qualification
- Ability to understand and comply with mandatory induction standards and Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers in Wales
Desirable
- Level 2 vocational qualification in relevant health care related subject
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working as part of a team
Desirable
- Previous experience working with people in a caring capacity
Language Skills
Desirable
- Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
