Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Assist with light domestic tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, maintaining safe driving practices
Eligibility Requirements
- Valid driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the sector
- Ability to develop and follow personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required by the organisation
