Within a clear and established teaching programme, to effectively and efficiently undertake a range of duties associated with the peer support of full time and part time students and associated administration as requested by the Programme Director in order to contribute to School of Health and Wellbeing objectives.

Salary: Salary will be Grade 6, £33,482 – £37,174 per annum pro rata.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. To provide peer support to SHW MSc students working towards their dissertations.
2. Participate in a range of course administration duties, within required timescales, including effective communication of information and timeous constructive feedback.
3. Assist with the supervision of student projects, dissertations, and any practical work, advising on skills, methods and techniques to assist the transfer of knowledge, and respond appropriately to the diverse range of learner support/ needs.
4. Engage in continuing professional development activities as appropriate.
5. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of School.
6. To contribute to the enhancement of the University’s international profile in line with the University’s Strategic Plan.
Eligibility Requirements
- A1Honours degree (SCQF Level 10) relevant to the teaching area or have expertise in a relevant field, together with an understanding of the principles of teaching, learning and assessment.
- A2Registered for and working towards the achievement of a PhD (MPhil/PhD) or PGT
- A3 qualification in a relevant subject.
- C1 Expert knowledge of the subject area.
- C2 Experience of delivering and supporting undergraduate or postgraduate students either in an online, distance learning or face to face environment.
- C3 Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- C4 Ability to use IT and relevant software packages to support teaching and learning.
- C5 Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- C6 Ability to work to deadlines.
