Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Monitor client health and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through tailored caregiving approaches.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and care provided.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to caregiving.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care services.
Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly for seniors and those with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to client interaction.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.
- A valid driving license is an asset but not mandatory.
