Millview Medical Centre are looking for a part-time Dispensary Assistant to join our team in Heckington, working part time, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30 and 5.30. Millview Medical Centre is a busy two site General Practice located in the rural village of Heckington as well as the growing Market town of Sleaford. The surgery has over 12,500 patients, more than 1000 of which are dispensing. The role will be working predominantly at the Main Site in Heckington with a team of 4 other Dispensary staff.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- The surgery uses a range of computer software and the applicant must be confident to learn new systems as well as Microsoft Word and Teams.
- To carry out admin tasks to ensure that all prescription requests are processed.
- To ensure that all monies received are appropriately stored and a record kept of all financial transactions including credit/debit card transactions.
- To assist dispensers with the collation and forwarding of paperwork in a secure manner for processing and reimbursement.
- To assist efficient stock control appropriate to the needs of the Practice.
- To ensure that shelves and all work surfaces are regularly cleaned to maintain a high level of hygiene within the dispensary.
- To ensure that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and to maintain a temperature control record.
- To maintain full and accurate records, incorporating the use of computers when available and appropriate.
- To undertake any necessary work as may be required and appropriate to maintain a high standard and efficient dispensing service.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Computer skills and confidence to learn computer software systems
- Previous experience in an admin role
- Experience of working with customers.
