Main duties of the job

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Level 6 qualification (e.g. Bachelor degree BA/BSc, NVQ level 6, ordinary degree without honours) or equivalent demonstrable experience
Desirable criteria
- Analytical/data intelligence/informatics qualification
- Leadership/management qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in an analytical role including interpreting and presenting complex information and analysis
- Experience of managing projects and undertaking evaluation
- Experience of handling highly confidential and sensitive information
Desirable criteria
- NHS experience
- Intermediate experience of a financial system i.e. Agresso including experience of managing budgets
- Management / leadership experience
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Specialist knowledge of statistical/analytical techniques, methodologies and procedures
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of health and social care sector, including working knowledge of NHS structures, policies and processes
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including solid presentation skills
- Ability to translate data into comprehensible and meaningful information
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of people from different backgrounds at all levels of seniority
Desirable criteria
- Ability to concentrate and focus on diverse tasks whilst dealing with frequent interruptions

- Set up of high-level reporting to GP Practices/ Line Management and Commissioners
- Ability to understand and explain reporting decisions
- Ability to analyse raw immunisation data and transfer to understandable format

- Knowledge of Child Health Information Service
- Understanding of Childhood Immunisation Programmes
