We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to support the delivery of our evolving Urology Psychology service. Our service supports patients with benign urological conditions accessing healthcare at UCLH at Westmoreland Street Hospital. As a key member of the psychology team, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the service.

Main duties of the job
The role includes supporting the triage of new psychology referrals and the service referral meeting. We anticipate opportunities to work on developing clinical materials for the service with the support of senior colleagues. The post-holder will contribute to the collection of outcomes to help inform service evaluation. The role involves working under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, to provide support in the establishment and management of specialist interventions and programmes in this area.

Please note – the working pattern for this role is – Mondays, Wednesdays, and alternate Thursdays.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
- An upper second class or higher honours degree in Psychology, or a Masters level qualification if degree is lower than upper second class.
- Entitlement to graduate membership of British Psychological Society
- Good working knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications (Word and Powerpoint)
- Good working knowledge of Excel and database tools
- An understanding of the psychological impact for people living with health conditions.
Desirable
- Further post graduate experience in relevant areas of psychology, clinical health psychology and/or research design and analysis.
Experience
Essential
- Experience using word processing packages for report production
- Experience of using databases and data-analysis eg. SPSS for Windows
- Experience of and confidence in completing and presenting professional, audit and research reports
Desirable
- Experience of working in psychology services
- Experience of working with people with health conditions
- Experience of co-ordinating and evaluating group programmes

- Confident in delivering sensitive information with tact and diplomacy
- The ability to set up, complete data entry and maintain databases (Excel, Access)
