Salary: £12.21 – £17.05 an hour
Location: Starbeck, Harrogate, UK
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Frying fish and chips to exceptional standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation at all times
- Following all company recipes, procedures, and portion controls
- Managing fryer oil quality, temperatures, and timings correctly
- Preparing and setting up your section efficiently before service
- Supporting general food prep across the store as required
- Working calmly and effectively during busy service periods
- Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
- Closing down your section in a controlled, safe, and organised manner
- Cleaning fryers, equipment, and work areas thoroughly
- Working closely with the rest of the team to ensure smooth service
- Leading by example with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Eligibility Requirements:
- Proven experience as a fryer in a fish and chip shop (essential)
- A happy, positive, and hard-working attitude
- Someone who leaves negativity at the door — no mood hoovers
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing top-quality food
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure
- A genuine team player who supports colleagues and the wider business
- Willingness to learn and improve, even with experience
- References will be required
