- Confidence with technology and willingness to learn both the shop and Post Office counter operation systems.
- Attention to detail and taking pride in keeping things organised and running efficiently even when under pressure.
- A good understanding of our community shop ethos
- A proactive approach to solving problems, supporting both customers and our volunteers.
Roles & Responsibilities
- To assist the Manager and Deputy in the day to day running of the community shop including Post office and cafe by taking on delegated tasks and responsibilities during their shift.
- To provide business continuity in the absence of their line Manager.
- To be directly responsible for the volunteers working in the shop during their shift time in the shop.
- To ensure that all policies that affect the day to day running of the shop, put in place by the Management Committee, are adhered to at all times.
- Be directly responsible to the Shop Manager and Deputy. They will take line responsibility for volunteer staff assistants during their shift.
