Salary: From £700 a week

Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Providing specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive impairments
  • Supporting patients with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
  • Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
  • Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Driving clients to appointments or social outings as needed
  • Responding promptly and effectively to behavioural changes or emergencies using first aid skills
  • Supporting families by offering guidance and updates on client care plans
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on dignity and respect for clients’ independence
  • Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and senior care techniques
  • Ability to handle behaviour management sensitively and effectively
  • Competence in medication administration and basic first aid procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely when required
  • Physical ability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs
  • Organised approach to meal preparation and daily routines
  • Compassionate attitude combined with patience and resilience
