Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of care.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Experience in home care or working within a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals requiring assistance, along with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
