Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced professional to work within our Intensive Home Treatment Team and Enhanced Therapy ServiceTeam and we really want to hear from you. It is an exciting time for the service as we grow and expand our offer to the young people and families of North Derbyshire. We want you to help transform our service and expand our Intensive Home Treatment Team. Working alongside an already well established team we have a well-developed clinical supervision programme.
The successful applicant will work as part of a team to help manage complex mental health needs. You
will be involved in the assessment, formulation and interventions offered as well as liaison with other agencies.
You will be part of the regular team clinical supervision processes as well as being able to access regular and
frequent individual supervision.
Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) or above in a related field or willingness to undertake this; Experience in CAMHS or a related field.
Desirable criteria
- Further development in a related field eg specialist experience or training Degree, Diploma or further education in a related field.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with young people and families Experience of and ability to assist in comprehensive assessments and planning and provision of a range of community based support packages and interventions Ability to work with a caseload under direct supervision and support Experience of multi-agency work and liaising with other professionals
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with young people and families with complex needs in community setting Experience of working in CAMHS, YOT, Social Care or similar Ability to plan and deliver training/information/educati on packages. Experience of group work Experience of involving users in service development.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Qualities essential to practice i.e. respect, genuineness and personal integrity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable helping relationships Ability to manage own time effectively Ability to liaise with other professionals in multi-agency settings Ability to maintain accurate records.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in the preparation and provision of training knowledge base in child mental health Knowledge and experience of a range of evidence based interventions eg. CBT
Personal Attributes
Essential criteria
- Excellent Interpersonal skills Commitment to quality of service provision A car driver with a full current driving licence and own transport is essential. For disabled applicants suitable alternative arrangements may be agreed, if necessary
