We are excited to be opening a new Shop and Warehouse in Devizes and are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Warehouse and Shop Assistant to join our friendly and enthusiastic retail team. Working in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment, you will be an integral part of the team who are responsible for receiving and moving large volumes of donations that have been dropped off by our customers, supporters, and contractors. This vacancy is for 15 hours (2 days) per week. Hours will be based on a rota, covering shop opening hours (Monday – Saturday).

Roles & Responsibilities
- You will be required to sort and process the donations and goods received, helping replace sold items on the shop floor with the best stock, to create a brilliant shopping environment.
- As a significant portion of this role will involve lifting and moving goods to/from the shop and sort room, manual handling training will be provided. As a first point of contact, when you meet and greet our donors, excellent communication skills and bright and happy outlook are essential to ensure each experience with Julia’s House is positive and welcoming.
Eligibility Requirements
- A strong work ethic, good organisational skills, the ability to apply sound judgement and be able to work under pressure, are all key skills requirements of the role.
- You will also be expected to understand and advise donors about Gift Aid and its importance to the charity.
- Ideally, you will have relevant experience with excellent knowledge of health & safety in the workplace.
