An exciting opportunity has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the Pathways Enhanced Resettlement Service (PERS). PERS forms part of the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway and is based at HMP Kirkham in Lancashire.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will support all aspects of the service delivery, in particular supporting the delivery of the clinical model, engaging in supervision, supporting the delivery of structured sessions/group work and collecting and inputting data as required. The post holder will also be involved in screening referrals for suitability and assisting with co-ordination and completion of assessment work.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- An honours degree in psychology. Eligibility for graduate membership of BPS.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Awareness of the clinical needs and strengths of service users with personality related needs and a history of offending behaviour.
- Knowledge of the principles of formulation.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Direct clinical / clinical research experience involving service users with personality related needs, risk and / or offending behaviour and / or complex mental health needs
- Experience of working within a relevant health care setting
- Experience of working within Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
