As a Cyber Security Intern at HireShire, you will support our security and infrastructure teams in safeguarding data, monitoring threats, and building security controls across our HR-tech ecosystem. Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in monitoring and analyzing network traffic, logs, and system alerts to identify potential threats

Perform vulnerability assessments and help implement remediation strategies

Participate in penetration testing and report exploitable weaknesses

Assist with hardening of systems, identity & access management, and secure configuration of cloud assets.
- Research emerging cyber threats, malware trends, and document recommended counter-measures
- Support creation of incident response plans, SOPs, and security awareness documents.
- Maintain security documentation, audit trails, and compliance reports.
Eligibility Requirements

Currently pursuing (or recently completed) B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MSc in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or related fields

Strong understanding of networking basics, OSI model, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS

Familiarity with Linux & Windows system administration commands

Knowledge of penetration testing tools (Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite, Metasploit, etc.)

Fundamentals of cryptography, authentication protocols & OWASP Top 10

Critical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive learning mindset.
