Care Assistant – Blossom Care (Part-time).

We are a family-run business looking for a compassionate and reliable Complex Care Assistant to support two sisters both of whom have complex care needs, in a 2:1 care ratio. At Blossoms Care, we pride ourselves on providing a warm, family-centered environment, ensuring the highest level of care. Your role will involve assisting with personal care, mobility, medication, and daily activities to ensure the sisters’ comfort and well-being. While experience in complex care is preferred, we offer full training. Part-time and Full-time positions available. Salary: £12.45 an hour

Job type: Part-time

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Assist with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support mobility needs, including the use of hoists and other mobility aids.
  • Administer medication and monitor medical conditions as per the care plan.
  • Provide support with feeding and ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Monitor and respond to health conditions and escalate concerns to the appropriate medical professionals.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide emotional support to promote well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
  • Collaborate with other care staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment at all times.

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Previous experience in complex care is preferred but not essential; full training can be provided.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a passion for delivering high-quality care.
  • Ability to work in a 2:1 care ratio, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, with opportunities for overtime.
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Relevant care qualifications (desirable but not essential)
  • Driving Licence (desirable but not essential).
