Chef – Honni’s Hut. (Visa Sponsorship).

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence in hospitality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering high-quality dishes that delight our guests.

Salary: £12.21 – £17.33 an hour

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards~cooking from scratch is a must.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure the kitchen is organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Respond to customer feedback and make adjustments to dishes as needed to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Order food/kitchen supplies.
  • Be able to produce a set menu including deserts.
  • Be able to make puddings/cakes from scratch.
  • Willing to put maximum effort into food preparation and presentation.
  • Be able to work efficiently and effectively to get customers their food in a timely manner.

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry, minimum 3 years previous experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and food safety practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and front-of-house staff.
  • A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must have at least 3 years previous experience.
