Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision of care to patients, supporting and supervised by a registered nurse.
- To carry out care and treatment tasks, delegated from professionally qualified staff, requiring a wide range of technical ability, numeracy and literacy skills as well as a significant level of interpersonal skills.
- To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified
- The post holder will generally work with supervision close by and within well established procedures and practices.
- The post holder is required to use a degree of initiative and deal with matters independently where they can but should know when to refer to the manager.
Eligibility Requirements
- QCF Level 3 in Health or equivalent
- Numerate
- Able to speak and write English to an appropriate standard to fulfil the job requirements
- Further education beyond mandatory schooling
- Ability to work well within the team
- Ability to demonstrate caring approach
- Able to use technology and equipment to assist in patient care
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to learn and perform venipuncture
- Ability to perform 12 lead ECGs
