Position Overview: Nursing Associate (Band 4)

Employer: Central and Northwest London NHS Trust
Location: Westminster Older Adults & Health Ageing Community Mental Health Team, Vauxhall Bridge Road, London SW1V 1DX
Salary: £31,944 – £34,937 per annum (including HCAS)
Contract: Full-time, permanent

📋 Key Responsibilities

Band 4 Nursing Associates at CNWL work under the supervision of Registered Nurses, contributing significantly to high-quality patient care and service delivery:

  • Care delivery & monitoring: provide and monitor care, promote health, and prevent illness

  • Accountability & teamwork: operate within a multidisciplinary team; remain accountable to supervising Registered Nurses

  • Clinical support: conduct risk assessments, participate in safety initiatives, complete Datix incident reports, maintain meticulous records

  • Professional standards: adhere to the NMC Code, meet mandatory training, and stay within competency limits

  • Supervision & development: support, train, and delegate to Health Care Assistants; attend team meetings and reflect on personal practice


🎓 Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered NMC Nursing Associate (Band 4) status with a valid PIN

  • Proficient literacy and numeracy

  • Experience in health/social care settings and collaboration with other agencies

  • Basic IT/email literacy

Desirable:

  • Care Certificate or equivalent

  • Experience in mental health/community settings

  • Training in phlebotomy, ECG
